WORKERS COMPENSATION PROCEDURES
In the event of a workplace injury occurring whilst the Apprentice is employed by GTNT all workers compensation requirements, administration and claims will be carried out by GTNT.
If medical attention is required the Apprentice must inform the medical clinic that GTNT is the employer. GTNT must be described as “the employer” on any Workers Compensation Claim. All subsequent documentation is to be lodged with GTNT.
GTNT does not indemnify the Host Employer from any penalty it may incur under the Act.
TIMESHEET PROCEDURES
The Host Employer must verify and sign the Apprentice's weekly timesheets and is responsible for ensuring they accurately record the dates, times/hours, attendances and location of the Apprentice.
Timesheets must be submitted for each week, including periods where the Apprentice attends off the job training.
The Host Employer agrees that the weekly timesheet must be received at GTNT's payroll office in Darwin no later than 12:00 noon Monday following each pay week. The timesheet may be faxed to GTNT "Attention Payroll" on (08) 8941202. If the timesheet is not received the Apprentice will not be paid by GTNT.
CHANGE COMPANY DETAILS
The Host Employer must notify GTNT not less than 7 days prior to any change of ownership or control of the business or undertaking conducted by the Host Employer.
In that event GTNT will have the right to withdraw the Apprentice and terminate this Agreement.
INVOICING ARRANGEMENTS
Where the Apprentice is placed with the Host Employer it shall be invoiced on a fortnightly basis for wages, allowances and on costs applicable to the Apprentice.
These shall be based on the Award or EBA conditions and calculated on the number of working hours the Apprentice has spent in the service of the Host Employer excluding approved off the job training, Annual Leave, and Sick Leave provided that the training period is more than 12 months if applicable.
