What’s on Offer?

The Group Training Northern Territory Foundation is now offering places for NT secondary teachers to be involved in a Teacher Release Program.

Why should you apply?

to gain professional development
to develop stronger links between vocational education & training, your school and industry
to help improve the implementation of apprenticeships in the Northern Territory.

How does it work?

You become part of the GTNT team for up to 10 working days. You can cover some or all of these key areas:

apprenticeship recruitment and selection
workplace visits with GTNT Field Officers
training delivery to apprentices through the GTNT Training Centre.

The Group Training Northern Territory Foundation will fund a relief teacher while you are away.

Are you eligible?

The professional development opportunities are open to qualified graduate teachers with current full-time approval to teach in NT Secondary Schools, involved in one or more of the following:

vocational education and training delivery or coordination in schools
careers education delivery or coordination
year 11 or 12 student coordination.

If you meet these criteria then we encourage you to apply for this opportunity to improve your knowledge of VET to support your students.
