GTNT Group Story

Top End Group Training commenced operations on the 8th of May 1989 with 1 staff member and 7 Apprentices operating out of a small office in Cavenagh St, Darwin. In 2002 the GTNT Foundation was established to provide recommendations and direction on meeting our social and environmental goals.

Today GTNT Group has more than 60 staff operating across the business, providing employment and training solutions to all regions of the Northern Territory with permanent offices in Darwin, Katherine and Alice Springs.

Since our humble beginnings we have commenced over 6,500 Apprentices and continue to play a critical role in developing a workforce that is appropriately skilled to meet the demands of a dynamic Northern Territory economy and community.

We will continue to work in partnership with government, business and the wider community to develop and implement innovative approaches to skill Territorians to meet the challenges of the future.

Employment Services

GTNT Group has been in operation since 1989 providing employment and training solutions to Northern Territory employers and community and is the Northern Territory’s largest employer of apprentices and trainees. We have been providing our services to over 6,500 apprentices and trainees, and partnering with over 1,500 Host Businesses across the Territory.

Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN NT) 

Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) is jointly funded by the Australian Government - Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) and the Northern Territory Government - Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade (DITT) to provide both administrative and regulatory functions on their behalf. 

Institute of Skills and Training Australia (ISTA) 

ISTA  is our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that delivers high quality training catering for various styles of learning. Our training is designed to equip students with industry-current skills and knowledge, with an interactive and flexible learning delivery style. (RTO 0381, CRICOS 03929D)

TMP by GTNT Group 

Located at Manunda Place in the heart of Darwin City. We serve specialty coffee from award-winning coffee roasters Seven Miles and fresh food made in-house every day.

As a Workforce Australia employment service provider, we recognise there can be various barriers to gaining employment. We are breaking down these barriers with our employment support services.

GTNT Foundation 

The GTNT Foundation was established in 2003 to provide programs for sponsorship by the Top End Group Training Board to meet our social and environmental goals to benefit our organisation and our communities. The purpose of this initiative is to influence positive social and environmental change by identifying, supporting and developing community orientated programs.

Industry Training Hubs 

GTNT Group delivers an Industry Training Hub based in Alice Springs, as part of a $50.6 million national program targeting regions with high levels of youth unemployment. The Industry Training Hubs Career Facilitator will target Year 11 and 12 students in the region, with a focus on facilitating local training and career opportunities for youth, helping to develop skills to meet the needs of local employers. They will also bring together schools and businesses to ensure Vocational Education and Training is a career pathway valued by and attractive to local youth.

Pearson VUE 

GTNT Group partners with Pearson Australia to operate the first Pearson VUE Test Centre in the Northern Territory. Pearson VUE delivers high-stakes exams empowering professions to certify and license individuals who safeguard and advance their communities across the globe.
